Fine Art and Film are at the core of my creativity, and photography allows me to bridge the two. My refinements in Fine Art were shaped at SVA (School of Visual Arts) during my undergraduate studies, and my foundation in film came during my graduate studies at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). My keen eye, artistic talent, curiosity, and willingness to push the boundaries of my work, all contribute to the development of my photographic aesthetic. Whether it’s capturing candids or posed moments at events or strategically conceptualizing and planning a photo shoot, I enjoy all aspects of it.
Recently, I’ve been exploring new territory with events. Initially I shied away from it, but found it to be a great opportunity to incorporate my background in film. Having a game plan and being open to unexpected surprises have truly come into play. Capturing the energy and visual story has stood out thus far for me.
My overall aesthetic is to incorporate natural light, which has been my main lighting source up until last year for everything from branding, product, and portrait photography; but I’ve recently began experimenting with artificial lighting. It has inspired me to utilize both my Fine Art and Film background to experiment with shaping light, using textured backgrounds, and color temperature.
Lastly, please check out my work as well as my blog and social media where I focus on techniques and other areas of interest in photography.
So, now that you know a little bit about the NiBstory, let me create some artistic, cinematic imagery for you!
